Community Engagement

The School of Criminal Justice engages in a wide variety of research-based training and technical assistance activities intended to address critical crime and justice problems. These activities involve interaction with local communities, criminal justice agencies, and the private sector in the U.S. as well across the globe.

This reflects Michigan State University’s land- and world-grant mission, first established when MSU became the prototype for the sixty-eight land-grant colleges established under the Morrill Act in 1862.
